Terms & Conditions

1. Who you are dealing with

VanLook is the trading name of Lucian Vancea, a self-employed sole trader based in London. Contact: 07733671457 · vancea_lucian@yahoo.com.

2. Quotes

Prices are given per job, based on the details you provide — the item, its size and weight, the collection and delivery addresses, and the timing. A quote is valid for the job as described. If what is presented on the day differs materially, the price may be revised before work continues.

3. Booking and cancellation

A job is booked when you confirm the quote. If you cancel after the van has been dispatched, a charge may apply to cover the journey already made.

4. Goods carried

You must describe the goods accurately and declare anything hazardous, fragile or high value before collection. VanLook may refuse any load that is unsafe, unlawful to carry, or beyond the capacity of the vehicle. Illegal goods, and waste or items requiring a specialist authorisation VanLook does not hold, will not be carried.

5. Packing and loading

Goods must be packed so they can withstand normal road transport. VanLook is not responsible for damage arising from inadequate packaging or from inherent defects in the goods.

6. Timings

Collection and delivery times are given in good faith and are estimates. Traffic, weather, road closures and access at either end can affect them. VanLook is not liable for indirect or consequential losses caused by delay.

7. Insurance and liability

Public liability insurance is held and in force. Liability for loss or damage to goods in transit is limited to the cover in place at the time of the job; details are available on request before you book. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

8. Payment

Payment is due as agreed when the job is booked, normally by bank transfer. Business accounts can be arranged for regular work.

9. Complaints

Raise any issue as soon as possible by phone or email so it can be put right. Claims for loss or damage should be reported within seven days of delivery.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
