VanLook is Lucian Vancea, a self-employed courier based in London. When you book a job, he is the one who answers the phone, loads the van and rings the bell at the other end.
How the work runs
Most of the work is business freight: workshops and parts suppliers needing a part across town today, trade counters covering a shortfall, offices and small manufacturers moving equipment or stock. Private customers are taken on too.
There is no tracking portal and no call centre. Lucian messages you when the goods are collected and messages you again when they are delivered. If you want a photo at either end, ask and you will get one.
Alongside the courier work he also takes on house, garden, garage and office clearance, and furniture removals.
